Jean Pizzuto

Jean Pizzuto passed away Wednesday, February 16th. She was 78 years old. Family and close friends gathered for a graveside service on Friday February 18th at Cedar Hills Cemetery in Oakland, Oregon. Born in Moline, IL, Jean grew up in Davenport, IA with six brothers and sisters. She served in the United States Air Force where she met her lifelong husband, friend and companion Fred Pizzuto. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on February 9th. Jean lived in Southern California and raised 10 children there and in Oakland, Oregon where she moved with her family in 1973. She worked for Oakland Elementary School for many years. After retirement she owned Jean's Things in Oakland before moving to Springfield, Oregon. Jean's family members include her beloved husband, Alfred Pizzuto, 10 children: Lynette Burke, Cindy Hulliger, Elizabeth Larson, Minna Zabel, Chris Pizzuto, Joe Pizzuto, Peter Pizzuto, Patty Noble, Kathryn Hastings and Alaina Bergan; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
