“Jeannie” was a recent resident of Oakland, Oregon relocated from Roseburg to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She passed away on March 17, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born on March 7, 1931 to Violet M. Ferdon and Lawrence F. Ferdon in Antigo, Wisconsin. She grew up in Antigo, spent her summers at Post Lake, and many vacations touring the country side. She married John “Jack” O'Brien on June 23, 1951 and started her family having two sons, “Tommy” and “Jeffie”. In 1955 she moved to Oregon planting roots in Roseburg.

She was a homemaker, the worlds greatest mother; and one kind and sweet Lady loved by so many. She loved to bake and was known for her pies, cookies, and other goodies. She loved to garden and canned her own food. She loved to make baby cloths, quilts, needlepoint, knit, and crouchet. She played and taught the piano. She owned a kiln and made her own china set. She was very creative with rocks and sea shells. She enjoyed painting and her best paintings were of the beach and the sea gulls.

Whether on foot, automobile, train, bus, recreational vehicle, plane or ship, she loved to see the sights, visit family, and put her toes in the Pacific Ocean..

She married Rodney Snow on November 12th, 1987.
