Jeanne Cain Davis

Jeanne Phyllis (Cain) Davis passed away on April 20, 2015 peacefully at Umpqua Valley Nursing Home, Roseburg, OR. Jeanne was born August 9, 1922 in St Croix Falls, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Evert and Frederique Cain. Jeanne graduated from St Croix Falls High School, then acquired a Diploma of Nursing at Ancker Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jeanne relocated to her first nursing position in Arizona where she met and married her only love Hurtchel Davis. Shortly thereafter they moved to Roseburg, Oregon where she raised her family and enjoyed a long successful career in nursing.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband Hurtchel Davis; her sisters Shirley Williams, Lois Trujillo; her brothers Daryl Cain and Jerry Cain.
She is survived by her sister Pat Jensen; her daughters Barbara Davis and Leslie Disrude; her grandchildren Stephanie Disrude, John Disrude, Donald Disrude, Matt Zumpf, Jennifer Valosen and her three great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday May 9th at 1pm at First Christian Church in Roseburg, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, Jeanne requested donations be made directly to First Christian Church.
