Through his entire life, "Frenchy" loved helping people any way he could and always with a smile. He loved sports of all kinds and played Hockey as a teen. In his 20's he started bowling and was always in a league eventually achieving several perfect scores of 300 and receiving recognition for this from the American Bowling Congress. He was the league coordinator for Ten Down bowling leagues where he spent much of his time these last years. His first love was fishing whether it be at a lake, river or ocean. His favorite fishing places were Diamond Lake in Oregon and the Tuolumme River in CA. He also enjoyed camping with his family and friends always looking for out of the way places where he could be alone with nature. He loved the Oakland Raiders, shooting pool and playing ping pong both of which he was always taking home the trophy.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and continued in the National Guard Reserves as a Master Sergeant until retiring in Roseburg, OR where he spent the last 20 years. He also managed an auto service station in the 1960's and later became a licensed electrician.
