Jerry Allen Smith

Jerry died in Roseburg, Oregon, on Monday, November 15, at the age of 62. He was born in Centralia, Washington, on December 23, 1947, to Jack and Audrey Smith. The family moved to Roseburg, Oregon in 1948 and has lived in this area ever since. He graduated from Roseburg High School in 1966 and attended Portland State University and Oregon State University. In 1993, he was certified as an electrical supervisor and opened his own electrical contracting business serving Douglas County and the surrounding areas. Jerry also served for many years in the Army Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Donna, his mother, Audrey Jensen and his children, Rod and Michele. His father, Jack, and his sister, Joan, preceded him in death. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Chapel of the Roses, 965 West Harvard Blvd., in Roseburg, Oregon, on Tuesday, November 23, at 1:00 pm, with Reverend Inge Tarantola officiating.
