Josephine Helen Elam

February 25, 1936 — July 26, 2011

Josephine entered Heaven to the arms of the Lord Tuesday evening. She died after a long brave battle with emphysema. Survivors include her loving husband Bill Elam, along with her four children: Debra Kaney (Rick), Marty Vendrick (Lani), Connie Lish (Geoff) and H.L. Beaubien (Sherry). She is also survived by her only sister Jackie Willits, and two nieces and one nephew. She was loved by her 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Josephine was proceeded in death by her parents. Josephine was a long time resident of Dixon, California where she was a florist and Chamber of Commerce member. Josephine and Bill owned and operated the famous Happy Hooker Bait Company, which they sold for their dream ranch in Yoncalla, Oregon. Josephine was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Drain, Oregon , where funeral services will be held Saturday July 30th, 2011 at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in the Drain Cemetery. Viewing will be at 11am until service time at the Church. Flowers may be sent via Wilson's Chapel of the Roses.
