Juanita Spinas (Walker) Spinas

Juanita "LaVelle" Spinas, age 97, went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, March 27, 2015 at Debbies Adult Foster Care in Sutherlin, OR. LaVelle was born in Corning, CA on January 8, 1918 to George and Hazel Walker.
On February 8, 1936 she married the love of her life, Abe Spinas, at the courthouse in Roseburg, OR. They made their home in Roseburg and had 65 blessed years together until he died in 2001.
LaVelle loved to spend time outdoors. Her hobbies include gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with her family. She was a very talented artist in several styles but her favorite was oil painting beautiful landscapes and still life.
She is survived by her son, Jerold (J.L) Spinas and wife Virginia of Roseburg; daughter Patricia McCracken and husband Darrell of Brookings, OR, grandchildren Lynn, Dennis, Daniel, Greg and Gayle; many great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses on Harvard in Roseburg. Pastor Tom Dever of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
