Julene R. Alexander passed from this life on May 13, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. She was 76 years old. Julene was born in Sacramento, CA June 9, 1939 to George and Dorothy Peck. They moved to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Roseburg Oregon in the early 50's where she attended Roseburg schools, part of the class of 1957. She met and married Cecil Alexander and they had 5 children. In later years they settled in Brush Prairie, WA where Julene worked for the Washington State School for the Blind, from where she retired after 25 years. Julene was a giving person with a big heart. She was proud of the fact that when her brother Buz won the Soap Box Derby in Roseburg back in the 50's the first thing he did with his $100 winnings was go out and buy her a cashmere sweater from Miller's department store. She loved Jewelry and could always be seen wearing several rings and bracelets. In her final few years she returned to the Roseburg area. She is survived by 2 children, Royce and Cindy along with her brother Buz Peck of Battle Ground, WA, grand children, niece's, nephew's and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her husband Cecil, 3 children Dorothy, Ricky and Mitsey and her parents. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of arrangements..
