June Marie Brahm was born in 1926 in Saint Louis, MO. Her family moved to California in 1932. June graduated from John C. Fremont high school in Los Angeles. She had a horse which she rode at the beach. June worked at Associated General Contractors and Carnation Labs. She also worked at Screen Gems Studio as a cartoon illustrator. One of the cartoons she painted was Hekyl and Jekyl.
In 1951 June married Chester Golik. They were married for 63 years. In 1957 June and Chester adopted two siblings, Curtis and Brenda. In 1963 June and Chet moved to Bishop, CA and bought an auto parts store. She worked part time in the office. In 1972 they sold the business and retired in the 1980's. They traveled by RV to 49 states and moved to Roseburg, OR in 2002.
June is survived by her husband Chester, her daughter Brenda who lives in Grants Pass, OR and son Curtis who lives in San Diego, CA
A Rosary will be held Wilson's Chapel of the Roses on Harvard Ave. Roseburg, on Thursday August 14, 2014 at 6:30 pm. Viewing will be from to 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Stanton Ave. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 9:00 am. Graveside services will be held at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in San Fernando, CA, on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
