Kenneth Ray Keeney passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017 in Roseburg, Oregon. Born in Tulare, California on April 18, 1935 to Cy (Clarence) and Faye (Wilder) Keeney. His brother, Chic, soon joined the family in El Monte, CA where they lived before moving to northern California after the beginning of WWII. Ken graduated from Modoc High School in 1953. After graduation he studied Diesel Mechanics at OIT for a year before joining the Army.
Ken was passionate about trucks, trucking, his friends, talking on the phone, and his grandkids. His brother remembers a young Ken listening to a log truck drive by and naming the make, "Peterbuilt" or "cornbinder", from the sound.
He is survived by his kids: Ronna, Sharon (David), Duane, Loren (Jessica), 11 grandkids, 13 great-grandkids, his brother, Chic (Penny), and their family, and friend, Norma. At Ken's request there will not be a service at this time, but rather a gathering during the summer on Cedar Pass. Please visit
