Mr. KENNETH LEE PALMER 68, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away January 19, 2017. He was a life long resident of Oregon. Kenneth was born June 26, 1948 in Hood River, Oregon to Dale and Dorothy Palmer. He graduated from Sutherlin High School in 1966. After graduating from high school Kenneth joined the U.S. Navy and was in the Nuclear Submarine Service until he was honorably discharged in 1969. Kenneth attended the University of Oregon from 1969 to 1971 and graduated with an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement. He worked as a police officer for 7 years, and worked at Roseburg Lumber as Manager and retired 3 years ago after 37 years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was an Associate Minister at Creekside Family Church where he was a member. The joys of his life were his grandchildren and reading God's word. Kenneth also enjoyed watching football, fishing, and was a firearms enthusiast. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sandra Palmer of Roseburg; daughters Kenette Wallman and her husband Paul of Portland, Oregon and Shawna Moss and her husband Nigel of Gresham, Oregon; sister Wendy Cremeen and her husband Al of Clayton, California; brothers Roy Palmer and his wife Janet of Roseburg, Oregon and Greg Palmer and his wife Tammy of Salem, Oregon; grandchildren Paige Moss, Kyza, Moss, Jorden Moss all of Gresham, Oregon and Andrew Wallman of Portland, Oregon; nieces and nephews Jarrod Palmer, Ryan Palmer, Justin Palmer, Brandon Palmer, Jason Cremeen, Erika Buckles, Stacy Moeller and many cousins. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Dale Palmer, his mother Dorothy Warren and step-father George Warren. A Celebration of Life for Kenneth will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Creekside Family Church. Pastor Glenn Weber will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Kenneth's memory to Creekside Family Church.
