September 1, 1933 — January 5, 2014

KETA RAE BUTZER 80, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Springfield, Oregon. She was born September 1, 1933 in Earth, Texas to O.B. and Grace Digby. The Digby family moved to Roseburg, Oregon where she graduated from Roseburg High School. Keta met the love of her life Stan Butzer and they were married in 1959. They were blessed with twin boys and later by a daughter. They were happily married for over 54 years. Her husband was employed by the government and they lived all over the United States. They moved at least 6 times, finally retiring in her home town of Roseburg, Oregon in 1990. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed by all. Keta contributed her life, her love and encouragement to all she knew and loved. She was heavily involved in her church and her parents O.B. and Grace Digby were some of the original founders of the Garden Valley Church of Christ, where she was a faithful servant. At the time of her passing she was the oldest of the original founders. Keta's interests included needle work, painting, writing, history, reading and traveling. She enjoyed many trips in their motor home from Florida to Mexico with her husband. Keta loved visiting with family and playing gift exchange games with the grandkids. Survivors include her husband Stan Butzer of Roseburg, Oregon; sons Michael Butzer and his wife Tracy of Aloha, Oregon and Mitchell Butzer and his wife Denie of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; daughter Cynthia Crawford and her husband Greg of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren Andrew Butzer, David Crawford, Adam Butzer, Sherry Farley, Troy Butzer, Ryan Butzer, Kris Butzer, Roger Butzer, Ben Crawford and Rachel Butzer; great grandson Paxton Farley; niece Sharon Jo Morris; nephews Gary and Tal Calkins and many other family members.
