Laura Ann Gluesing, of Sutherlin, OR, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. Born on January 30, 1944 in Hyannis Port, MA, Laura graduated from North Salem High School in 1962. She was united in marriage on July 2, 1977 to Forrest Gluesing. Laura was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, loving mother and Nana.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Creighton, Jr. and Mary Keichline Creighton, her grandparents Charles Creighton, Sr. and Lula Dickson Creighton, John Keichline and Martha Wagner Keichline, and her daughter, Lorri Gluesing Kimball.
Laura is survived by her beloved husband, Forrest Gluesing and their daughters Kathleen Ferris-Briley, Beaverton, OR, Shelli Gluesing-West, Vail, AZ, and son-in-law Steve Kimball; two sisters Martha Gleason and Sarah Creighton; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. She will be laid to rest at RestLawn Memorial Gardens in Salem on Monday, March 21, 2016.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
