Lester Robert Bentley

LESTER ROBERT BENTLEY, 85, of Roseburg passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. He was born April 18, 1930 in White City, Illinois to John and Edna Bentley.
Lester married Ulla in 1963. They welcomed two daughters into their lives, Lisa and Kim. After moving to Roseburg in 1971, Lester began working for Roseburg Forest Products as a millwright. Lester was accomplished at woodworking and often built cabinetry, cedar chests and toy boxes. He was a generous individual who had the gift of giving. Lester was a member of the Hucrest Community Church of God.
Survivors include his wife Ulla Bentley; daughter Lisa Dean; siblings Velma Ezell, Ivan Bentley, Larry Bentley and Carole Nugent; grandchildren Sarah Walker and Brandon Walker; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kim Walker; parents John and Edna Bentley; siblings Martha Bracken, David Bentley and Wayne Bentley.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Hucrest Community Church of God with a reception immediately following. Pastor Lorin Myers will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lester's life.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Lester's memory to Alzheimer's Association Oregon, 1650 Northwest Naito Parkway, Suite 190, Portland, OR 97209.
