LINDA KAY REED 69, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away December 31, 2014 at her home. She was born June 9, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to Henry and Edith "Jo" Hockett. Linda graduated from Chaffey High School in 1963 and Chaffey College in 1965 with an Associates Degree. She married Joe Reed in 1965. Linda was an Interior Decorator and owned and operated Linda Reed and Associates Decorating Center for 20 years. She has worked at Fred Meyer as Visual Display in the Apparel Dept for the last 15 years. Linda enjoyed gardening, painting, camping and exploring the great outdoors. She particularly enjoyed relaxing on rocky ocean beaches. Linda was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her bright and energetic soul touched the lives of many. She found goodness in people and forgave easily. People sought her advice, her counsel and her help. Linda was always glad to give whatever was asked of her and more because she cared so deeply for everyone. To her family she was the rock that we all depended on for strength and stability, for courage and guidance, for warmth and understanding, for boundless unconditional love. And fun! She was always up for an adventure. Our memories are filled with camping trips to the mountains or to the beach. She encouraged us to try new things, to explore, to appreciate the world around us and to praise God every day for all of it and the many blessings which He bestowed upon us. And we do thank God for blessing our lives with such a beautiful soul and that, through Jesus, we will be reunited with for all eternity. Survivors include her husband, of 49 years, Joe Reed of Roseburg, Oregon; daughter Jill Reed of Roseburg, Oregon; son David Reed and his wife Susan of Albany, Oregon; grandchildren Jessica Lynn, Rachel Hukel and Sara Hukel all of Roseburg, Oregon and Cole and Grace Reed of Albany, Oregon; great granddaughter Alexis Lynn; nieces Michelle Bridgeford, Suzanne Polanco, Lisa Jaross and Lori Bailey; nephews James Roberts, Christopher Roberts and Michael Reed.
