LINDEN CARVER LONGBRAKE 79, of Oakland, Oregon died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He was born on May 7, 1939 in Roseburg, Oregon. Linden was born to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Longbrake. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Longbrake; brother Larry Longbrake of Washington; son Troy Longbrake; daughter Traci (Bill) Ratledge; son Tony Longbrake (Tracy) of Maryland; 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 1 aunt; 1 niece and 1 nephew. Linden served four years in the U.S. Army as a medic and chaplain assistant. Upon his return he worked as a beautician before beginning a long career in construction work. Since 1966 Linden (L.C.) worked as a concrete specialist and owned Longbrake Family Construction in Sutherlin, Oregon for many years. After retiring he worked at Stow-Away Self Storage on Central. He enjoyed snowmobiling, three wheeling, fishing, hunting, water sports, and especially gardening, wood working and singing. He attended Sutherlin Family Church with his wife for nearly 20 years. Linden loved the Lord and lived a life of servitude and praise. His life will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the main auditorium of Sutherlin Family Church.
