Lloyd Alan Wooden passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Umpqua Rehab Center in Roseburg, Oregon. He was 71. Alan was born in Roseburg, Oregon on December 2, 1948 to parents Ben and Billie Wooden. He was not only dedicated to his family and friends, but also his community and our great nation. Alan showed his love and dedication for our nation by joining the US Army and serving 2 tours in Vietnam as a helicopter Crew Chief in the 101st Airborne. Upon returning home from Vietnam, he joined the Malheur County Sheriff's Department and served as a dedicated Deputy Sheriff for 26 years. He is survived by his sister Geneva, brother Mike, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Alan also leaves behind his 2 sons Michael and Adam; 3 grandchildren Dennis, Meagan and Brooke. He was well loved and will be missed by all. Per his request, there will be no service.
