Lois Kay Mack

October 4, 1941 — December 22, 2010

Lois Kay Mack Of Sutherlin Oregon, nicknamed "Grandma Jody" by great grandchildren Destiny and Skyler, walked thru heavens gates on the 22nd day of December 2010, her family lovingly at her side.
She was born in LaGrande, Oregon, to the late William and Katherine McElvain where she lived before moving to upstate New York then Cloverdale, California and then Oregon where she died peacefully. She was the loving wife of the late LeeRoy Mack and loving sister of the late Nancy Howard. She is predeceased by one great grandchild, BerettaLee
Lois enjoyed a career as a rehabilitation counselor where she helped many until retirement. Her hobbies included rock-hounding, and black-powder shooting in her younger days! "Grandma Jody" also loved the ocean and times spent with Destiny and Skyler and family camping. She liked telling stories of the old days and teaching them the old ways, listening to their stories and learning "new ways" like the computer! Some of her fondest memories were of her family and she will be missed and cherished by all.
She lived by her own words "There is no gift more precious then the gift of love." She gave that gift daily.
She is survived by four children: Carol Wilson, Susan Miksik, Chet and LeeRoy Mack, grandchildren: David Pedersen and Cassie, Tabatha Pedersen, Sharday and Jared Mack, Morgan Faast, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Paula, eight great grandchildren and "Sis~Elle"(L.W.Harrington) of Massachusetts. A Memorial
Service will be held at a date to be announced
