Louis O. (Lou) Huckins
Born June 2, 1928 in New Brunswick, Canada to William A. and Anna R. Huckins, went home to be with our Lord on May 27, 2010, after a long challenge with lung disease. Lou came to the U.S.A. in 1947 to Drain, OR area. Lou married Clarice Bowman and they had two children, Theresa and William (Bill).
In 1924, Lou married Norma Gowey of Sutherlin, OR. They were married 56 years and had seven children. Louie L. (Lonie), Danual J. (Daniel), Terrance B. (Terry), Cary B. (Brent), Taunja M., Nola R., Aleta D. He is survived by his wife Norma, 9 children and their spouses, 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, Lou had 15 siblings and is survived by 3 brothers, Frank, John and Jim and spouses, 1 sister Pat and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lou had a testimony of salvation, accepting the Lord as his personal Savior, was baptized by and then became a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Union Gap at 15535 Old Hwy 99 North between Sutherlin and Oakland, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on June 12, 2010.
