LOUISE ROSE COATS 93 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was born September 22, 1917 in Lookingglass, Oregon to Rudolph and Emma (Walters) Jennie. Louise married Roy St. Clair Loomis in 1932 and then married Clare L. Coats on January 21, 1938 and preceded her in death in 1985. She enjoyed animals of all types, walking, camping, fishing, hunting, playing bingo with friends, writing poetry, talking on her CB radio,sewing, drawing, playing the accordion and organ and spending time with her family. Louise was a member of Douglas Electric Corp., life time member of the VFW Post 2468 Auxiliary, Cooties, CB Club and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and cousins Beverly France, Lola West, Robin Brady, Rita Jones, Melvin Beaty, Elnora Jennie, Kenneth Beaty, Mike Jennie, Lee Jennie, Randy Jennie, Cherene Jennie and Shirley Strunk; special friends Edie Rogers, Jim and Roberta Walsh, Early Dawn, Cliff and Kathy McCawley, Viola Venburger, Donna and Sam Boyd and many more. Louise will be deeply missed by all. She touched so many hearts in love, laughter, jokes and by being just Louise. Louise was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lorena M. Strange; brothers;Randolph, Archie and Irvin Jennie; sisters Eunice Butts, Della Johnson, Dorothy Laskey and Norma Beaty. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Tenmile Cemetery. A reception will follow at 1:00 pm in the VFW hall at 1127 NE Walnut in Roseburg.
