MARTHA LOUISE HALL, 96, of Sutherlin, Oregon passed away Monday, November 6, 2017. She was born November 12, 1920 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Elmer and Ruth Hunsaker. Louise graduated from high school in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; undergrad at Oklahoma Baptist University and Masters Degree from Eastern Washington College of Education. She was a 1st grade school teacher for 29 years. Louise taught school in Skagway, Alaska, Quincy, Washington, Springfield, Missouri, and Russellville, Arkansas prior to moving to Sutherlin, Oregon in 2009. She played piano, taught music in elementary school and church children's choirs. Louise was also a lifelong chronicler of her experiences and relationship with her Lord. She was a member of the writer's club "Women of Words" in Sutherlin and Christian Women's Club in Harrison, Arkansas. Louise was also a member of Friday's 1:00 Mariposa Group at Family Church in Sutherlin, Oregon. Survivors include her daughters Julie Johnson (Oliver) and Margi Hawkins; grandchildren Deborah Odden (Mike), Mike Johnson, Travis Hawkins and Hannah Hawkins; great grandchildren Meg Monihan (Max), Danny Morris, Alice Hawkins, Nicole Johnson and Amanda Odden; great-great grandchildren Kylie and Wyatt Monihan; nieces and nephews Robert Charles Hunsaker, Steve Hunsaker (Kathy), Becky Wendt (Herb), Cinnamon Judd, MaryAnn Washington, Amy Hunsaker-Williams and Matt Hunsaker. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bailey Hall in 2008; and brothers Bill and Bud Hunsaker. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Sutherlin Family Church. Contributions may be made to the College of the Ozarks in Louse's memory.
