Gene M. Hisey

Gene Maxine Hisey, 85, of Roseburg passed away on March 23, 2011. She was born May 25, 1925 in Cottage Grove, Oregon to Joseph A and Clorinda (Walrath) Rhoads. Gene attended High School in Ashland and was an Accordion Teacher for 24 years. Gene enjoyed golf, music, poetry, art, computers and boating and was the President of TOPS during the 80's and 90's. Gene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Melvin; three sons and daughters in law, Rex and Julie Smith, Bradford and Judy Smith, and Sanford and Jenny Smith. She is also survived by her sister Betty White and step daughter Starla Mead along with 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren A memorial service will be Friday April1, 2011 at 1 PM at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses
