Mamie Adela "Sunny" Rogers

March 11, 1925 — November 23, 2015

Mamie Adela "Sunny" Rogers, 90, of Oakland, Oregon passed away peacefully November 23, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Sunny was born March 11, 1925 in Minco, OK to Ethel and Leonard White. She married Joseph E. Rogers on June 19, 1942. He preceded her in death in May, 1993 after 51 years of marriage.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and great granddaughter, Poppy Josephine Hart. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hart and her husband Lloyd; son, Brian Rogers and his wife Diane; daughter Diane Harris and her husband Jerry; and daughter Susan and Warren Rogers. Sunny also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, her sister Iva and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sunny was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafts, crosswords and baseball, especially the Cubs and the Braves. Her life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Women's Group, Organic Gardening Club, Eastern Star and the owner of Sunshine Ceramics.

She was loved by everyone she met and will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held March 12, 2016.
