Marvene M. Krueger, 85, of Roseburg passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born on February 24, 1926 to Marvin and Maybell Mendenhall, in St. Louis, Missouri. She and Harry were married 38 years before his death in 1990. Marvene owned and operated a western wear clothing store for 12 years in San Rafael California. Before moving to Roseburg in 2003 she had lived in Kihei, Maui. Marvene was a member of the Maui Art Festival. She enjoyed being an artist, painter, and a collector of antiques, particularly watches, clothing, and shoes. She also enjoyed traveling, playing pool, poker, and slot machines. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family and friends, but her real leisure in life was shopping.
Marvene is survived by her daughter, Toni (Dave) DeMerrit,of Oregon; sons Dave (Kathy) of California; Robert (Christine), and Jim (Brenda) Krueger all of Oregon. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michele, Justin Trevor Krueger, Amy Anderson and Laural Clege. Along with great grandchildren Cole, Kameor, Jayden, Mikayla, Amya, Samuel, Saria, Sophie, Oceania, Isabella, Oliva, and Elisabeth. Very special friends and member of the Oakridge Tuesdays Girls, Nancy Copelin, Tom and Kathy Fallon, Jerry and Cherly Copelin.
