Mary Elsie Sharp passed away Tuesday February 16, 2010, at her home in Roseburg, Oregon, after a short illness. She was born September 13, 1922 in Iberia, Missouri to William and Lenner Newhart. Mary moved from Willits, CA to Roseburg, OR in 2003. Where she loved to sit on her deck with her husband John and their three dogs, to watch the geese, ducks, and water enthusiast float by on the Umpqua River. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Lathrope. Mary is survived by her loving husband John Sharp, her son and his wife Cliff & Pat Lathrope, her daughter and her husband Diane & Gary Ford, her extended family John Sharp, Jr. and his wife Gayle, Jim Sharp and his wife Melody, and Janie England and her husband Larry. Her sister Faye Harrison, Dorothy, brother Robert Jenkins, five grandchildren, Mike Lathrope, Jill Flaherty, Andreena Straub, Tracey Moody, Tia Lawrence, 9 great grandchildren, Morgan and Meghan Tompkins, Nicole Flaherty, Devin and Mckinzie Barlow, Garrett Vincent, Erin Higgins, River Montalvo, Roanin Lawrence, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of the arrangements "God hath not promised; Sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain.
