Mary Helen Westcott 89, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She was born February 24, 1929 in Hurley, Virginia to Harvey Burk and Elizabeth Johnson. Mary lived in Hurley, Virginia, Pikeville, Kentucky, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida prior to moving to Roseburg, Oregon. She lived in Roseburg for the past 58 years and in her home for 44 years. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse at the VA Hospital for 30 years. She loved to travel, visiting casinos (she never saw a casino she didn’t like) and fishing. Survivors include her daughter Sharon Justus and her husband Dennis Walker; son Tim Justus and his wife Julie; sisters Lois Cooper-Kennedy and her husband Pete, Emma McCoy and her husband Archie and Betty Kiser; Brother Joe Ed Johnson and his wife Lois; grandchildren Nicole Trimnell, Daren Trimnell, Danielle Justus, Michele Mooney, Shawn Miller, Melissa Hoover, Matt Walker and his wife Kait; Great-grandchildren Jestyn Webster, Ashley Ward, Rebecca Trimnell, Tyler Mooney, Shannon Mooney, Hunter Trimnell and Natalie Walker; nieces and nephews Lynn Schott, Rhonda Johnson, Liz Gombart and 27 other nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands Ed Justus in 1964, Chuck Pugh in 1980 and Frank Westcott in 2005 and seven sisters and brothers. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 am within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Pastor Scott Walker will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Mary’s memory to Special Olympics of Douglas County.
