Mary Elizabeth Yackle

MARY ELIZABETH YACKLE, 93 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Rose Haven Nursing Center. She was born July 8, 1921 in Canton, Illinois to Roy and Ardys (Hill) Bell. Mary enjoyed sewing and handmade many pieces of clothing for herself, her children and her grandchildren through the years. She then took her talents into being an active quilter. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Milton Yackle. She is survived by her son, David Yackle and his wife, Cynthia, of Roseburg, Oregon; daughter, Marliese and her husband, John White, of Lake Oswego, Oregon; sister Bengta Wiemelt, of Quincy, Illinois; grandchildren Deanna and her husband, Ben Kercher, Marissa (White) and her husband Gabriel Herencia, Danielle Yackle, Hillary White and Miranda White; and great-grandchildren Paul, Molly and Luke Kercher. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Roseburg. Andrew Farhat will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to Lutheran World Relief, Douglas C.A.R.E.S or Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. The family would like to thank Riverview Terrace for the many friends found there and Rose Haven for their rehabilitation and caregiving services.
