Merle Blaine O'Hearn

MERLE BLAINE O'HEARN 85 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his home. He was born September 7, 1931 in Scio, Oregon to John and Etta O'Hearn. Merle graduated from high school in 1949. In 1950 he married the love of his life, Doloris Pinkerman and they celebrated 66 years of marriage. The O'Hearn's moved to Roseburg, Oregon in 1963. Merle began a career with Pepsi Cola as a route salesman that lasted 37 years until his retirement in 1993. Survivors include his wife Doloris O'Hearn of Roseburg, Oregon; daughters Kathy Siegrist also of Roseburg, Oregon and Debra Myers of Oregon City, Oregon; sister Irene Sanderson (John) of Arcata, California; brother Gene O'Hearn (Betty) of Springfield, Oregon; grandchildren Rachael Plumlee (Jeremy), Joseph McCord, Ryan McCord all of Roseburg, Oregon, Jennifer Fogle (Peter), Justin Tisdel (Jessica), and Micah Myers all of Oregon City, Oregon; great grandchildren Brandon Plumlee, Haley, Jordyn and Megan Craig, Carson Tisdel, Kindra Killeen, Elli and Hallie Bennett. Merle was preceded in death by his parents; sister Lydia Downing and brother Thomas O'Hearn. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. Pastor Joe Sizemore will officiate. Private interment will be held within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
