MICHAEL ROEBUCK 91, of Sutherlin, Oregon passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born November 11, 1924 in NuMine, Pennsylvania to Antonio and Helen Roebuck. Michael served in the US Army in France during WW II. He played baseball as a pitcher for 55 years and was inducted into the hall of fame. Michael enjoyed wood working, playing pool, fishing, playing cards especially pinochle and hiking. He lived in Alaska for 8 years hiking and fishing. Michael was a man who could do anything. He was a member of the VFW and Family Church in Sutherlin and enjoyed spending time at the Sutherlin Senior Center. Michael has lived in Sutherlin for the past 15 years. On July 4, 2008 in Sutherlin he married Jann. Survivors include his wife Jann Roebuck of Sutherlin; twin daughters Karen Roebuck of California and Sharon Roebuck of Pennsylvania; son Michael C. Roebuck of Sutherlin; sisters Viola Bibza and Julia Hufnagel both Pennsylvania; grandson Michael and Marlee Roebuck of Roseburg; Great grandchildren Naomie, John and Joshua. Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Roseburg National Cemetery.
