Michael Rudy Tellone was laid to rest with his daughter Brittney (Tellone) Langford. He was a father, brother, son, uncle, and best friend to all, and was suddenly taken from us on October 22, 2013.
Michael was as born April 14, 1966, in Los Angles, California, to Rudolph Joseph Tellone and Nancy Lou Tellone (Bates). He was born into a large family of ten siblings. At the age of six he moved to Sutherlin and attended Sutherlin High and then served in the National Guard.
While growing up in Sutherlin he developed a love for fishing, and his Chevy Nova that his sister Donna gave to him. He began a love for fixing automobiles and got his first job in Sutherlin, as a gas attendant. He later migrated into a career as diesel mechanic and began working at Nordic Veneer. As his mechanics knowledge base grew in 2005 he become an elite mechanic finishing his career with Pape in Eugene.
With the love of mechanics this leads Michael to teach his children to race dirt bikes. He could often be found watching his children race at Clark's Branch dirt track. Early in his 20's he spend a lot of time outdoors fishing, boating, and teaching his kids to swim.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Tellone; and son-in-law, Chris Langford; his father, Don Bates; and siblings: Kathy, John, Donna, Lori, Terry, Jacquie, Paula, Angie, and Patti; numerous aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews, including stinky feet. Michael is preceded by his mother, Nancy Lou Tellone (Bates).
A celebration of life for both Brittney and Michael will be held at Douglas County Fairgrounds Conference Hall Exit 123 on I5 at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013.
