Nancy Ann Moss went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 25, 2014. She passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon due to respiratory failure.
Nancy was born in Goodman, Wisconsin, on February 4, 1936 to parents, Leonard and Bessie Whittaker. After a visit to Oregon in 1952, when she was was 16 years old, they then moved out here in 1953. The Whittaker family settled and made their home in Oakland, Oregon. Soon after, Nancy met the love of her life while attending Oakland High School, where she graduated from in 1954. She married Jim Moss on July 25 of that year. The day that Nancy passed away would have been her sixtieth wedding anniversary.
Nancy is survived by her 3 children and their spouses; Jerome and Donna Moss of Roseburg, Oregon, Sabrina and Lonie Huckins of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Alan Moss of San Diego, California. She has grandchildren; Tabitha Diehl, Joshua & Lisa Huckins, Tiffanie & Michael Allen, Brandon & Ashley Moss, Jenna Moss & significant other Jason Young, and Courtney Moss. She also has 7 great grandchildren: Karmma Diehl, Aiden Diehl, MacKenzie Moss, Madison Moss, Christina Allen, Elizabeth Allen and Anthony Allen. She is Also survived by her two sisters Joanne Tenbrook and Phyllis Seehawer.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband James(Jim) E Moss, father and mother, Leonard and Bessie Whittaker, her brother Benny Whittaker and sister Karen Whittaker Fugate.
Nancy also leaves behind her beloved church family from the first Missionary Baptist Church of Union Gap. She was a devote member, loved her church, the word of God and looked forward to meeting her Father in Heaven.
Viewing for Nancy Moss will be at the Sutherlin Chapel of the Roses from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2014. On that same date, she will then be placed next to her husband at the Fair Oaks Cemetery at 2:00 pm followed by services for Nancy at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Union Gap at 4 PM.
