Naomi Evelyn (Meyer) Schulze passed away January 8, 2019, at the age of 92. She was born November 12, 1926, in Oxnard, CA, to Ethel and Neal Meyer.
Naomi lived in Colorado, and Yuma, AZ.
At 16, her family moved to Lookingglass Valley, where her parents had a fruit and walnut orchard and bean yard. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1945, and married Charles Schulze on October 9, 1949, who proceeded her in death.
Naomi raised three children, Skip Rogers and Georgia Proctor, who have preceded her in death, and Tammy Rondeau of Roseburg. She has six grandchildren.
Naomi lived in Lookingglass for more than 75 years and was a member of the Lookingglass Grange for almost 70 years. She also attended Lookingglass Church for over 60 years. Naomi loved to paint, read, play the piano, and sew quilts and baby blankets. She loved her community and was very active. She was a two-time cancer survivor.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, Lookingglass Church at 1:00 p.m.
