Nelson P Johnston

Our much-loved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend Nelson P. Johnston, left this earth on December 10 for an eternal fishing expedition. Traveling solitarily, he bade a loving farewell to his dear wife, MaryAnn, as well as his daughter, Lupe, many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, sisters, Susie and Peggy, and so many wonderful family and friends.

Nels served two tours of duty in Vietnam and retired as a deputy from the Sheriff's Office after 25 years of service. He especially enjoyed his stint as the "high mountain" deputy at Diamond Lake.

Nels' dad, Carl, mom, Frances, and 3 older brothers, Jerry, Lee, and David, went on ahead to scout the terrain prior to his arrival. The rest of us left behind will miss him terribly, even as we know he's on his grand trip, limiting out, and scouting the situation for us.
