Orpha Mae Stedman

MRS. ORPHA MAE STEDMAN 97 of Glide, Oregon passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her home. She was born October 21, 1912 in Armstrong, Canada to Eleanor "Grace" and Ellis Grant. Orpha's interests included genealogy, crafting, cooking and gardening. Survivors include her daughter Vera Parker and her husband Gerald and their children Connie Kalata, Linda Nelson, Nancy Syrie, Mike Parker; daughter-in-law Pat Stedman and her children Vickkie Thouvenel, Caroll Ingrham, Julie Andre and Bill Stedman Jr., and many great grandchildren. Orpha was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Oscar; son Bill; siblings Lois Duke and brothers Don Sadler and Carl Hooker. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. A reception will follow at the Holiday Inn Express. Private interment will be held in the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Oregon. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Orpha's memory to Meals on Wheels and these may be left at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses.
