Patricia J Lauritzen

Patricia (Pat) Jean Lauritzen 89, died on June 4, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Roseburg. Pat was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Harry and Bertha Barbee on May 16, 1929. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings, Harry Barbee, George Barbee, Helene Felden and Nancy Barbee. Pat was also preceded in death by her husband Gil Lauritzen and her great-grandson Joshua Lauritzen.
Pat raised her children by herself after her husband died in 1965. Throughout her life, she continued to be a support to all those around her and a listening ear for those who just wanted to talk. She had a good sense of humor and loved to use sarcasm in a playful way.
Pat lived in the same house since 1962. Her house has been the meeting place for numerous holiday gatherings, family get-togethers, and a place to stay for any family member who needed it. Her door was always open and everyone knew that no phone call was needed before stopping by. Pat was always a stable and reliable person to all of us who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Lauritzen and Ken Lauritzen. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
