Patricia Elleen Rew (4/10/1926–11/26/2023)
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend to many, Patricia Elleen Rew of Roseburg, OR, passed away on November 26th, 2023 at the age 97 while residing at Chantel’s Loving Touch in Sutherlin, OR.
She was born April 10th, 1926 in Green Bay, WI to Clyde and Saidie Robbins. Patricia grew up in Antigo, WI and later met her loving husband, Melvin Rew. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on April 19th, 1947. Patsy and Mel shared four children together.
Patsy is survived by her children: Larry Rew, Tammy Rew, and Terry Rew; her grandchildren: Jackie McCrosky, Jolene Kowalski, Ashley (Joe Greenwald) Rew, Janel (Jarod) Karban, Jared Rew, and Amber (Andrew) Caudill; and her great grandchildren: Byron, Kaylee, Devon, Jailyn, Layla, Brian, Keegan, Marleyna, Elijah, and Logan. Patsy is also survived by someone who became a very special friend to her, Les Muse.
Patsy had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were.
As an active member of New Hope Church in Green, OR, Pasty loved doing special things for the church kids and visiting with everyone. Patsy was always dressed to the nines, especially when she attended church. During the week, she would never miss an opportunity to watch Wheel of Fortune. Everyone who knew Patsy knew how much she loved drawing and oil painting. She was a true artist! In her earlier years, she made ceramics and loved making Christmas décor for friends and family. Her Christmas spirit showed through her beautiful floor-to-ceiling decorations.
Patsy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Patsy was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Judy Rew and her husband, Melvin Rew.
A celebration of life will be held on a future date in Wisconsin.
