Patricia (Pat) Gail Hyde Southern, 67 of Sutherlin, Oregon passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at CHI - Mercy Medical Center Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1956, in Inglewood, California to Emmett J and Jaclyn Hyde.
Pat attended Cosmology College in California and 2 � years at Oregon State University in Engineering. She obtained her Cosmology Certification, then passed the Board of Cosmology and was Licensed for the state of California.
Pat worked as a Hair Stylist in California and later at the IFA Nurseries, Inc., in Elkton, Oregon.
Pat's good humor and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Always ready for adventure, Pat never let life's challenges hold her back.
She is survived by her husband Jeff; two daughters, Sonja Jones and Alexandra (and Adam) Vigue; three grandsons she doted on, Adrien, Atreju and Azrael; and two sisters, Charlyn (and Bob) Parker and Rhonda (and Bob) Gillingham. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett J and Jaclyn Hyde, formerly of Elkton (Kellogg), OR.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Kellogg Cemetery, Kellogg, Douglas County, Oregon.
