Phyllis Mae Baxter

PHYLLIS MAE BAXTER 84 of Oakland, Oregon passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in Sutherlin. She was born April 25, 1924 in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada to Beverly and Belinda (Fuller) Hadcock. The Hadcock family moved from Ingersoll to Grangeville, Idaho where Phyllis graduated from high school in 1942. On March 30, 1946 in Reno, Nevada she married Creighton Baxter, Jr. The Baxter's lived in Livermore, California until they moved to Oakland, Oregon in 1969. Survivors include her daughter Barbara Cherry of Roseburg, Oregon; son Jeff Baxter and his wife Penny of Oakland, Oregon; grandchildren Kacey Maher and her husband Tom of Portland, Oregon, Kelley Dickey and her husband Keven of Sutherlin, Oregon, Michael Baxter and his wife Katie of Oakland, Oregon and Kimberly Gandy and her husband Rob of Roseburg, Oregon; 4 great granddaughters; brother Harold Hadcock and his wife Jewell of Pleasanton, California and niece Belinda Hadcock of Bonita Springs, Florida. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Creighton, son Creighton III, parents Beverly and Belinda and a brother Kenneth Hadcock. At her request, no service will be held. Private cremation rites have been held. Phyllis' urn will be placed with Creighton's in the family plot in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Livermore, California.
