Phyllis C. Creech, age 72,of Riddle, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She was born in Turley, Oklahoma, on July 14, 1940 to Ralph and Velma "Gartrelle" Osburn. She moved to Riddle, Oregon, at a very young age, where she attended and graduated from Riddle High School. She loved riding horses, especially her horse, Ginger. She worked and retired as a teaching assistant for more than 20 years. She had a huge effect on many students that attended Riddle schools. After she retired, she went to work at Wal-Mart for many years. Phyllis cherished her time with her family and friends, loved drawing, musicals, working in her yard, and doing things for others. She also loved to cook and bake. Mom made amazing chocolate pies. "Those will be missed." As anyone who knew Phyllis could attest, she was one of the kindest souls anyone had ever known. Her love for her family came first and foremost, with her passion for giving a close second. She had a great love for life and others unconditionally. Phyllis was a loving mother to her children, Bobby and Erin Creech, Teena and John Wagoner, Jeff and Sandi Creech, and Eric and Meghan Creech, her ten grandchildren Mitchell, Matthew, Andrew, Ava, Jayden, John, Zach, Hunter, Bradyn, Cameron, and a great granddaughter on the way. She's also a loving sister, loving Aunt, and a friend to all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 351 N. Second Street in Riddle, Oregon. She will be laid to rest in the Riddle Cemetery immediately following the service. A pot-luck for family and friends will follow the burial at the First Baptist Church Annex. Flowers can be sent to the church and contributions may be sent to a charity of your choice in memory of Phyllis C. Creech.
