Phyllis Scott died peacefully in her sleep December 31, 2014. She was a kind gentle soul who loved flowers, butterflies, jigsaw puzzles, reading and camping. She lived in Roseburg all her life. Phyllis was born June 23, 1930 to Floyd and Elna Jacobs and graduated from Roseburg High School in 1948. She worked as a nurse then went on to work for Dr. D. Jones as a nurse for pets for many years. She retired from Roseburg School District after working as a cook at Hurcrest, JoLane and Rose schools.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald M Scott, daughters Laurie Olmsted (John- deceased) Rhonda Gifford (Rick) and son, Rodney Morgan (Mindy). She had seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by sisters Barbara Clark of Summerlake, OR, Doris Black of Bend, OR and Nancy Wehde (LeRoy) of Rouge River, OR. Phyllis was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L Scott and sister, Patti Vasey.
