Ralph passed away on April 29, 2012 at the age of 89. He was born May 12, 1922 to Louis C. Hanson and Annie (Berenson) Hanson in Belfield, North Dakota. Following graduation he joined the Navy serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He married (Elizabeth) Betty Hlebichuk and they had two wonderful sons, Ralph and Keith. They moved to Riddle, Oregon in 1952 where they made their home until moving to Roseburg in 2009. He loved the outdoors, especially camping on the North Umpqua and the Metolious Rivers. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to all the games. His survivors are his wife, Betty; sons, Ralph (Charlene) and Keith (Linda); three grandsons, Brian (Jeana), Chad (Dana), and Rod (Chera) Hanson; and six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Chad, Colton, Kailee and Devon. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. Ralph did not want any service.
