Vern Clark of Roseburg, OR, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at age 82. He was born October 19, 1934, to Irene Fine in Oakridge, Oregon.
He was a 1953 graduate of Oakridge High School. In 1954, he joined the Navy and served until 1957. He returned to Oakridge and was employed by Pope & Talbot in the particleboard plant. In 1972, he took a job with Roseburg Lumber as a supervisor in the flake board plant in Dillard and worked there until his retirement January 1, 1997.
Vern was known by many as being somewhat of a Jokester. Vern enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trips to Reno. At home, he loved his little furry companions; four kitties and a stray cat that he would never let go hungry.
Vern is survived by his daughter, Amanda Clark; son, Donald Clark; three grandchildren, Cheyene Clark, Alyssa Clark, and Tyler Clark, all of Roseburg; and sister, Shirley Smith of Klamath Falls.
