Rayburn Mckinley "Ray" South

July 21, 1913 — August 27, 2015

Age 102, of Oakland, Oregon, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2015 at his home with his family surrounding him. Ray was born July 21, 1913, in Tamarack, North Carolina, to Samuel S. and Myrtle (Bumgarner) South. He married Mozelle Plunkett in 1942. Ray worked many years as a millwright in the lumber industry. He is survived by his two sons, Ray and Sergius; and stepson James P. Smith; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
