Richard James McCarthy II, 43, of Colorado passed away unexpectedly while living in Roseburg, OR. on November 13, 2023. He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Michelle McCarthy, his sons Aiden, Michael, and Collin McCarthy, his sisters Christina Freeman and Theresa Koenig, and many other families, friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Richard proudly served in our U.S. Army between the years of 2000 to 2010, he received multiple awards and commendations for his services. He loved his children beyond measure, and was an avid outdoorsman. Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and listening to music with his dad and children. He will be deeply missed and remembered with love. Graveside services will be held on May 3, 2024 at 10:30am at Fort Logan Cemetery 4400 W Kenyon Ave. Denver CO. We invite anyone who knew Richard to join us in celebrating his memory. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local V.A. in Richard's honor. To honor Richard's memory, we are holding a celebration of his life on May 3, 2024 at the Indian Hills Community Center 5381 Parmalee Gulch Rd., Indian Hills, CO. starting at 1pm.
