Robert Bruce "Bob" Everhart

November 17, 1951 — September 24, 2013

Robert "Bob" Bruce Everhart
"The Dad Guy" was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from us on Tuesday, Sept. 24th at the age of 62. He departed his home of 20 years to meet our Lord and to spend eternity comforted in everlasting peace and love. Though we are left to mourn and wonder why, we may take comfort in the knowledge that all things happen in God's time and it was at this time that our Lord chose to welcome Bob's spirit, giving him a much needed rest. Farewell my love, you missed the rainy season; I know this will make you smile.
Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Bob was born in Mansfield, Ohio on Nov. 17th 1951 to Robert and Angeline Everhart. He moved to Buffalo, NY and then to Sierra Madre, California, where he spent the majority of his youth.
He attended college in Pasadena California and was employed at Ultra Violet Products as a designer draftsman where he met his wife to be, Mickey. They were married and raised 4 amazing children in Sierra Vista, AZ, Oxnard, CA and Roseburg, OR. The Everhart's moved to Oregon in 1993 with the relocation of Bob's employer of over 20 years, FCC. He spent the last 5 years of his life happily managing the Warewood Village Apts. for the Atkinson family.
Bob loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends most of all. He also loved: the sunshine of AZ, the Colorado River, driving his van to the coast, camping at Diamond Lake, playing pool, fast motorcycles and cars. Designing, creating, and repairing was his passion; he could do it all, from plumbing and carpentry to electrical, mechanical and accounting. He was perpetually teasing people about not being able to reach things because they didn't measure up to his height of 6'7" or constantly making you believe, even his oldest children, that they had "something on their shirt" to make you look. You could always count on him to make you laugh and his sense of humor, sadly, will be missed.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mickey Everhart; Children: Brian, Rachel, Kevin and Heather Everhart all of Roseburg; Grandchildren: Ally and Alex Woodring of Roseburg; Mother: Angeline Romito of Laguna Woods, CA; Sister: Cheryl (Paul) Staunton of Mira Loma, CA; Brother-in-law: Bill (Yolanda) Maddox of Long Beach, CA; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Special friends: Justin Meechan of Roseburg, Ronna Eisennacher of Winston, Tom Pope of Santa Clarita, CA, Justin Wild of Roseburg, and Florentino Fregoso of Roseburg.
Preceded in death by his Father, Robert C. Everhart; Step father: Angelo Romito of Laguna Woods; Grandparents: George and Katherine Smilanich of San Gabriel, CA.
A private memorial service was held by his immediate family on 9/25/13 at Chapel of the Roses. No other arrangements have been made at this time.
