Robert (Bob) Leroy Jackson
Bob Jackson passed away on June 3, 2017 at home in Roseburg, Oregon. He was born April 11, 1939 in Nampa, Idaho to Robert O. and Lela Jackson. Bob loved his lord, reading theology, fellowshipping with others, and praying for those in need.
Bob spent his childhood on Argentina and South Africa, returning to the states in 1952. He graduated from Nyssa High School in 1957, earned a BA in Social Studies at NNC in 1961, an MA in Education from U of O in 1975, and a Registered Nursing Degree in 1991. Bob married Nelda Seward on June 1, 1962. They celebrated 55 wonderful years together.
Bob taught English and Social Studies, was Oregon Education Association president 77-78, was a professional teacher's organizer in Montana and Oregon, was ordained in the Episcopal Church, and was a nurse at Mercy Care Center.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife Nelda; children Marcy (Wife: Tex) Sullivan, Brent (Wife: Pam) Jackson, and Shawna Jackson; Grandchildren Kristine and Jazz Sullivan and McGregor Jackson; Brother Lyle (Wife: Cathy) Jackson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Church on the Rise on June 17, 2017 at 2 Pm
