On the morning of August 23, 2022, at age 68, Robert (aka "Cowboy") Rodger Monroe (Bob Milledge) was surrounded by love when he passed away. Bob is survived by his two daughters, Joleen Collier (James) and Bobbie Lee Harmon, (Ashley) and six grandchildren, Raine, Shaun Paul, Madison, River, Raven, and Rhett.
Bob was born on December 3, 1953, and grew up in Swartz Creek, Michigan.
From 1971 to 1975 Bob served as a Marine for the United States Marine Corp. During his service, he was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and fought in the Vietnam war. Having served his country was his greatest honor in life. After his honorable medical discharge from the Marines, Bob found his calling as an electric engineer. This career gave him the opportunity to travel all over the world. This led to him working in the Pacific Northwest, where Bob discovered his signature look. His pressed shirt and jeans, boots, belt, cowboy hat, and of course his trademarked handlebar mustache. Bob would take great pride in it. One assignment brought him to Virginia Beach, Virginia where he met the love of his life Debbie Milledge with whom he was married to from 1996 to 2002 and stepfather to Alyssa Dexter (Bobby) and Tara Fisher (Jeremy). Once Bob retired, he settled in Oregon where he spent the last eight years of his life with his loving girlfriend Rosaline Cervantes. However, He would jokingly say his two main loves were his Honda Gold Wing and his two dogs, Biscuit and Muffin who preceded him in death. Bob loved to cruise on his bike any chance he got.
Bob will be remembered for his smart mouth and kind heart. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. At a later date, Bob will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Veterans Cemetery in Michigan. In lieu of gifts, we ask that you donate to your local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
