Age 79, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, in his Roseburg home. He was born on February 15, 1936, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Ollie and Lucille Sanders. He graduated from Roseburg High School in 1955, and married Lorene (Kester) on August 24, 1956. He worked at Roseburg Lumber Company for 40 years and was a charter member of Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers for over 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Sanders; daughter Sheila and Al Schroeder and their children Aleila and Trena; son Dean and Cindy Sanders and children Chelsea and Ryan; daughter Sasha and Tom Kress and their children TJ, Chris, and Natasha; and four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Maddux, Lorelai, and Dalila.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 2 p.m., at 16634 Dixonville Rd.
