Roy Bruno Bredskar passed away on August 11, 2010 in Roseburg, Oregon. He was born on May 3, 1928 in Karleby, Finland to Bruno and Judit Bredskar. On 1952 Roy came to North Bend, Oregon. He was drafted into the Army in 1953. He had basic training in El Paso, Texas and then served in Germany. Roy received his citizenship papers in Germany. He was a member of the Order of Runeberg and participated with the American Legion. On July 22, 1956 Roy married Hazel Nelson in North Bend, Oregon. They have 3 daughters, Susan Sterling (David), Judy Ellis, and Linda Bredstar, also three grandchildren. Blayne Sterling, Brittany and Sean Ellis, who survived him. He is also survived by sisters Ragnhild Hendriks and Rakel Luokkala in Finland. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brother in laws Ture Hendriks and Ahti Luokkala of Finland.
