RUBEN RANGEL
Ruben Rangel Blevens also known as "Butch" and "Jake" was born on May 26, 1942 in Hidalgo, Texas. He passed away after battling a serious illness on May 20, 2010. He served several years in the Navy, which landed him in California where he started his family. He lived in San Pedro, CA for more than 25 years, where he spent many hardworking years as a professional plumber, a skilled fisherman, a loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend to many. After many years of dedication and hardwork he retired and returned to Roseburg, Oregon where his heart has always been. He is survived by his beloved wife Karen Blevens, son Martin Blevens, six step children Ted, Andrea, Marilyn, Tina, Debbie and Lee. He is dearly loved by his eighteen grandchildren, Ian, Brandon, Malin Blevens, Casandra, Dylan, Evan, Olivia, Johnny, Jazzy, Meilani, Suzzette, Stephanie, Fa'ailoa, Jesse, Daniel, Jessica, Jacob, Raven and Charity. Butch will always be remembered for his generous spirit, his loving heart and his love for fishing. Services will be on May 31, 2010 at 12 p.m., Betty Kay Charters, Coos Bay, Oregon.
